The programs are free and provided as a community service. Each program features RockWELL, Lakeland’s wellness mascot. This lovable raccoon enchants elementary-age children as he teaches nutrition education, disease prevention, first aid and safety and personal health. A total of 15 health and wellness presentations are available, all geared toward children in kindergarten through third grade.

Each program is based on the Michigan Model of Comprehensive School Health Education, one of the most respected programs in the country.
