Lakeland Health Services is here for you. When you or a loved one need medical attention, help with light housekeeping or emotional support, Lakeland Health Services is there to provide quality care in the comfort of home.
Lakeland Health Services fulfills a wide variety of needs. After leaving the hospital, we continue a patient’s medical care, monitor their progress and work with their physician to change the treatment as needed. Many people who care for elderly parents find Lakeland Health Services is the answer for quality care when they need time to themselves or are out of town. Parents can also depend on Lakeland Health Services to care for sick children or help in adjusting to the birth of a new baby.
Health Care Experts Our staff is made up of health care professionals and other skilled individuals to meet a variety of needs such as:
- RN/LPNs work with elderly and disabled patients on weekly medication set-ups.
- Personal Care Assistants help with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, preparing meals and moving around the home comfortably.
- Homemakers help with grocery shopping, preparing meals, light housekeeping, errands and companionship.
Emergency Assistance Lifeline is a personal response service that ensures that older adults living at home receive timely assistance whenever it is needed. Lakeland Health Services provides the customer with a personal help button that is worn as a pendant or wristband. When help is needed, the customer simply presses the button and a Lifeline monitor responds. The service also has a number of add-on services such as medicine and appointment reminders and healthcare directives notification.
Insurance Eligibility Some home health services are covered by insurance. We contact the customer’s commercial insurance company to verify coverage. We let the customer know what portion is covered and also what they may be responsible for paying.
Purchasing Additional Services Any Lakeland Health Services may be privately purchased. Privately paid services require a deposit which will be applied to the final bill. Bills for these services will be sent to the customer monthly.
Setting Up Service A registered nurse works with customers and their physician to help individualize their care. Customers can have a qualified staff member in their home from two to 24 hours a day. A registered nurse is always available to answer any questions.
