Physician's Health Sciences Library
The library has been upgraded to meet the challenge of establishing evidence based medicine for our patients while  providing easier access to information for our care givers.
UpToDate, a best practices tool, has been in place at Lakeland since 2004 and is used extensively by our healthcare professionals. Recently Clin-eguide an evidence based medicine database has been added to provide the most accurate and current information to help our clinicians make the best patient care decisions. To access these sites you will need a username and password. If you already have your username and password click here. Physicians can access the table of contents for the listed medical journals at the following site (additional journals can be added by request); http://medjournalcontents.blogspot.com/
Click on the journal address for the most recent table of contents. You can then choose the articles you need full text and send your request by email or fax to the librarian for retrieval.
Nursing journals table of contents can be viewed at http://www.nursingcenter.com/library/index.asp . Send by email or fax your request for full text articles to Mike Dill or fax 269-982-4993
Note: Articles are usually available 24 to 48 hours after request has been made. For medical emergencies, articles can be retrieved within one to two hours.
The librarian is available between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday - Friday.
