Peter P. Lai, Ph.D., M.D.
Radiation Oncologist, Medical Director, Radiation Oncology
Dr. Lai received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia.  He then completed his residency in radiation oncology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.  His "pre-medical" education consisted of a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Wisconsin State University and a Ph.D. in biophysics from the University of Illinois, as well as a research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh.
He has held academic appointments at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis; the Montefiore Medical Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, where he also served as director of the residency program in radiation oncology; and at Westchester Medical Center, New York Medical College, New York, as clinical associate professor.
Dr. Lai has published 17 articles in peer-reviewed journals and authored seven chapters in medical textbooks.  To date, he has presented 27 abstracts at symposia and conferences around the world.
In addition to grants and other honors, Dr. Lai counts among his achievements serving with the U.S. Army Medical Corps in Desert Shield/Storm in 1990-1991.





Wayne Weberg, RT
Lead Radiation Therapist
As the Radiation Oncology department's chief radiation therapist, Wayne works with physicians and nursing staff to address patient concerns regarding care and treatment schedules. He is also responsible for the day to day supervision of the radiation therapists. Wayne has worked for Lakeland for over 20 years. He is a member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and serves as a clinical instructor for Grand Valley State University. Wayne is a graduate of the Memorial Hospital of South Bend Radiation Therapy School and the Lake Michigan College School of Radiologic Technology.





Jeremy Blauser, M.S., DABR
Medical Physicist
As a medical physicist, Jeremy works closely with the department's radiation oncologists and dosimetrists to develop patient-specific radiation treatments that target the tumor affected area while minimizing trauma to the surrounding tissues. Jeremy obtained his Master's of Science degree in Medical Physics and his Bachelor's of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University. Jeremy is board certified by the American Board of Radiology.





Elaine Bogner, CMD
Certified Medical Dosimetrist
As a medical dosimetrist, Elaine is responsible for partnering with the department's radiation oncologists to develop individualized treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy. Elaine received her degree in Radiation Oncology from the University of Michigan. She has worked for Lakeland for 15+ years.
