New Providers Join Lakeland Medical Staff - Archived
(ST. JOSEPH) – Three new physician assistants have joined the medical staff of Lakeland HealthCare.
Charlene Baumgartner, PA-C, Family Practice, has joined the medical staff of Lakeland Community Hospital, Watervliet. She is seeing patients full-time at the Community Medical Center Walk-In Clinic, located at 420 Medical Park Drive in Watervliet.
Prior to joining Lakeland Healthcare, Baumgartner spent two years at Family Physicians of Saint Joseph. A longtime resident of southwest Michigan, she has over 20 years of clinical experience.
Baumgartner earned her Associate of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Indianapolis. She subsequently received her Bachelor of Science degree and Physician Assistant Certification in Family Practice from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.
Baumgartner is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Deborah Breen, PA-C, Family Practice, has also joined the medical staff of Lakeland Community Hospital, Watervliet. She is seeing patients full-time at the Community Medical Center Walk-In Clinic.
Prior to joining Lakeland HealthCare, Breen was employed by MidMichigan Health. She spent 10 years working for medical centers located throughout central Michigan. During this time, Breen focused on Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care.
Breen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Daemen College in Amherst, New York. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants.
Stephanie Welch, PA-C, Family Practice, is seeing Pediatric and Walk-in Clinic patients at Southwestern Medical Clinic, Stevensville, located at 5515 Cleveland Avenue.
Prior to joining Southwestern Medical Clinic, Welch worked at Metro Health Hospital in Byron Center, Michigan.
Welch earned a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Calvin College.
