Physician Speaker Series Event: Your Aging Brain – When Memory Loss Starts to Affect Everyday Living - Archived
(ST. JOSEPH) – Neuropsychologist Christopher Contardo, PhD, ABPP, of Psychiatric and Psychological Specialties in St. Joseph, will present a free seminar on the neuropsychology of aging. Dr. Contardo will cover the basics of memory assessment, provide information on “normal” aging, and explain how declines in memory and other cognitive functions impact daily life.

Dr. Contardo recently joined the medical staff of Lakeland HealthCare. Board-certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology, he is fellowship-trained in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation/Polytrauma Psychology from the Boston Veteran Affairs Medical Center through Harvard Medical School. He earned his Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Clinical Neuropsychology from the University of Connecticut, and completed his internship in Clinical Neuropsychology at the Charleston Consortium in South Carolina.
Dr. Contardo is trained in assessing and managing the everyday impact of medical, neurological, and psychological illnesses including attention disorders, learning disabilities, neurodegenerative disorders, stroke syndromes, and traumatic brain injuries.
