

April 25 - Energy In, Energy Out
During this lesson we learned that you
need to balance what you eat with the proper amount of exercise. Planning
ahead when you decide what you are going to eat for the day and what activities
you have planned helps you balance "Energy In - Energy Out".
The
kids also learned how to calculate their BMI (Body Mass Index).
The BMI is one way to determine whether or not someone is overweight. BMI
assesses height and weight; muscle mass is not a part of the equation.
