

May 2 - Fun Activities
We talked about exercise/activities and
the need for weight-bearing exercise especially in girls because of bone
development. Examples of exercises/activities are : karate,
jump-roping, basketball etc.
We also discussed what foods contain
calcium because calcium is good for bone development and very
important at their age. We
also showed them 1lb and 5 lb. models of fat and muscle so they
could compare. At the end of the lesson we passed out jump ropes.
