Wengers' Story

Husband and wife Ron and Laurie Wenger of South Bend share many passions, including travel, classic cars, and Notre Dame football. But when the couple's weight kept them from enjoying the activities they loved, they knew it was time for a new, healthier lifestyle.

In 2002, Ron and Laurie underwent bariatric surgery together - and couldn't be more thrilled with their results. "It's been six years since the surgery, and we have no regrets," said Laurie. "We would absolutely do it again."
