You don't have to travel as far as you might think to find quality, award-winning healthcare.
From asthma to trauma, Community Hospital in Watervliet is there when you need it most.
The Joint Commission has recognized Lakeland Community Hospital, Watervliet as one of the Top Performers on Key Quality Measures™ for 2011! Specifically, we’re being recognized for achieving excellence in performance on our accountability measures during 2011 for the following measure sets: Pneumonia and Surgical Care. This information will be included in the Joint Commission’s "Improving America’s Hospitals" annual report.
As a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures, LCHW is among 620 hospitals out of 3,376 that met or exceeded the target rates of performance for 2011. This represents the top 18 percent of Joint Commission accredited hospitals reporting core measure performance data for 2011.
LCHW met two criteria for this achievement:
1. First, the hospital achieved performance of 95 percent or above on a single, composite score that includes all the accountability measures for which it reports data to The Joint Commission, including measures that had fewer than 30 eligible cases or patients.
2. Second, the hospital also met a 95 percent performance threshold for every accountability measure for which it reports data to The Joint Commission, excluding measures with fewer than 30 eligible cases or patients.
