Mary is a limited-license psychologist. She received her master's degree in Community Counseling from Andrews University with specialty areas in both adult's and children's mental health. She has been providing counseling services in the community since 1991. Prior to that, she raised a family and taught in both the public and private sector. Mary is active in her church and community.
Mary has a vast array of experience with people of all ages and backgrounds. Some of the more common areas of her expertise include: adjustment disorders, losses, anger management, behavioral problems, parenting issues, stress management, and traumas. She is able to assess and treat mental health disorders such as attention deficit disorder, bipolar disorder, major depression, anxiety disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. She has worked with special populations, including those who have experienced physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse, those who have developmental disabilities or learning disabilities, and those who are struggling with aging issues. She will make an effort to encourage each person in their areas of strength, urging them to draw on their own positive values and beliefs.
Mary sees patients in the Stevensville Counseling Office as well as the Niles Medical Clinic on 11th Street.
