Lakeland Health, is located in southwest Michigan on the shores of Lake Michigan and is the primary healthcare system serving patients from five surrounding counties.
Lakeland Health has received multiple awards and national recognition in the areas of cardiovascular intervention, pulmonary medicine, clinical outcomes, and patient safety. These awards testify to the exceptional skills and expertise of our medical staff.
Our physicians are eager to share these skills with students and residents. On-site lectures and educational facilities, including a on-site simulation lab, will combine with connectivity to Michigan State University’s vast medical education resources to create an excellent setting for learning.
Lakeland Health is a base hospital for students from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Students are welcome to rotate through any one of our available clerkships:

- Internal Medicine
- Infectious Disease
- Palliative Medicine
- Pulmonary Medicine
- Sleep Medicine
