Please welcome Aileen Jo Vitangcol, MD, Pediatrician, to the medical
staff of Lakeland HealthCare. Dr. Vitangcol is seeing patients in the
Newborn Nursery at Lakeland Community Hospital, Niles, and at the
Southwestern Medical Clinic office in Niles.

Prior to joining Lakeland, Dr. Vitangcol worked as an Assistant Professor
at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California where she taught
and evaluated medical students and residents. From 2008 to 2010,
Dr. Vitangcol worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Saint Joseph Mercy
Health System in Ann Arbor. She provided high-risk newborn care and
managed patients in the Special Care Nursery, Newborn Nursery, and
the inpatient pediatric unit.

Dr. Vitangcol earned her medical degree from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine.
She went on to complete her pediatric residency at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital
where she treated a broad range of acute and chronic diseases. Dr. Vitangcol is a fellow of
the American Academy of Pediatrics.
