Lakeland’s health resource libraries are lending libraries of books, audio/visual materials, periodicals, brochures and more. They are places where our patients, their families and community members have access to a broad range of relevant and current health information and resources. Each resource library contains specialized sections which focus on areas such as heart care, obstetrics, oncology, child care, as well as disease management, treatment and prevention topics. Patrons may check out books and other media materials for reviewing in the comfort of their own home.

On-line Resource Library Services
Each of the resource centers provides on-line access to health promotion and wellness information via the World Wide Web.

HealthLinks identifies more than 300 medically sound accurate Web sites to assist visitors in making informed health care choices. HealthLinks is available at the resource libraries and on this Web site.

LibraryNet  is an Internet library server with a database of the entire library contents from each health resource library. Visitors to Lakeland’s Web site can search the contents of the database for materials on specific topics or by publication title or author.
