Coldwell Banker Charitable Foundation Awards Grant to Lory’s Place
May 31, 2017

(ST. JOSEPH) – Lory’s Place, the grief healing and education center of Caring Circle, a Lakeland Health Affiliate, was recently selected to receive a $7,350 grant from the Coldwell Banker Charitable Foundation (CBCF) in support of its upcoming second annual Adult Grief Retreat. In 2007, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage established the CBCF to give back to local housing-related charities in the communities they are privileged to serve.

“In my role last school year, as a temporary counselor at New Buffalo Middle School, I saw firsthand how students reacted to having an emotional outlet to share their grief with other students during the monthly peer outreach group offered by Lory’s Place,” said Carol Wight, Associate Broker, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. “On behalf of Coldwell Banker we are proud to support Lory’s Place and see value in the services they provide to both children and adults in our community.”

“The support of the Coldwell Banker Charitable Foundation has been such an encouragement to Lory’s Place,” said Lisa Bartoszek, Director of Bereavement and Lory’s Place, Lakeland Health. “The financial generosity of CBCF has allowed Lory’s Place to provide meaningful, unique grief support to children and adults over the years by means of our Camp Lifetimes and Adult Grief Retreat opportunities. We are sincerely grateful for providing funding that allows us to strengthen and deepen our mission.”
