Our volunteers assist in a wide variety of service areas. The list below are some of our most common positions for volunteers. If there is an activity not shown that you are interested in or you have questions, please let us know!

Book Cart Services

Description: Replenish magazines in waiting rooms, visit patients to offer books or magazines, apply labels to new magazines and books and remove outdated items.

Clergy Aide Service

Description: Visit new patients to determine if they desire a visit from the Clergy, complete a clergy preference card, notify the minister(s) of patients' request, maintain the file on new and discharged patients.

Gift Shop

Description: Greet and assist customers, operate the cash register and payroll deduction machine, prepare a daily sales report, and assist with keeping gift shop neat and stocked.

Inpatient Rehabilitation

Description: Sanitize equipment in therapy room; assist at Nurses Desk and with the transportation of patients. Distribute and pick up menus for patients' meals. Take and record temperature on hydroculators.

Information Desk Greeter

Description: Assist visitors with requested information, sort and deliver patient mail, direct visitors to patient rooms.

Lab & Radiology Waiting Room

Description: Greet patients, answer questions, and monitor patient wait times by checking with staff when the wait is over 15 minutes.

 

Outpatient Rehabilitation / Physical Therapy



Description: Clean treatment area, remove dirty linens and supply clean linens, be sure therapy items are at poolside, take temps in various areas such as refrigerators, hydroculators, wax machines, etc. This facility is located on Red Arrow Highway between Watervliet and Coloma.

 

Fundraising Activities

Description: Assist with Auxiliary fundraising activities that may include: baking or creating items for a sale, working at the various activities, assisting with organizing, advertising, and clean-up.
