Roles and Opportunities

  • CHAPLAIN SERVICES
    Visit with patients, offer a listening ear and offer spiritual needs as desired.
  • FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES
    Assist with Auxiliary fundraising activities that may include baking or creating items for a sale, working at the various activities, assisting with organizing, advertising and clean-up. Funds from these projects go to high school scholarships, department grants, and other items needed for patients.
  • GIFT SHOP CLERK
    Provide friendly customer service by assisting customers with gift selection, deliver flowers, and fill helium balloons as needed.
  • INPATIENT REHABILITATION
    Visit with patients, assist with basic tasks, answer call lights, sanitize equipment, delivers greeting cards, lap robes and tote bags, plus other duties as needed.
  • INPATIENT REHABILITATION RECREATIONAL VOLUNTEER
    Transport patients to/from activity-based programs. Provide activities as planned/directed by therapists, sanitize equipment and treatment area, assist staff when they have cooking group.  Socialize with patients, help with note writing, playing cards or reading to them. 
  • INFORMATION DESK GREETER
    Direct patients to registration, assist visitors with requested information, direct visitors to patient rooms.
  • LAB & RADIOLOGY WAITING ROOM
    Direct patients to registration, assist visitors with requested information, direct visitors to patient rooms.
  • SEWERS/KINTTERS/CROCHETERS
    Work from home sewing tote bags and lap robes or knitting or crocheting lab robes. Lap robes and tote bags are given to the patients. Lap robes are small blankets that go over the lap and helps with warmth while sitting. The tote bags hook onto walkers for patients to carry their belongings.  Both of these items are greatly appreciated by the patients.
