Hope Grows

Proceeds support free cancer screening services

The Hope Grows fundraising luncheon is hosted by the Lakeland Health Foundation, Niles and the YMCA of Southwest Michigan. It was created to help support individuals recovering from cancer, those still fighting, and those at risk. Proceeds support FREE cancer screening services at the Marie Yeager Cancer Center of Lakeland and the LIVESTRONG® program at the YMCA. Click here to register.

 


Run, Walk, and Rock for Lory's Place

This 5K Run/Walk (or rock!) is literally fun for all ages! Last year's race had 1,200 participants and raised $63,000. Lory's Place is a grief healing and education center for children and families and this fundraiser helps to provide programs and services at no cost. Click here to register

The Gordon Knutson Memorial Golf Tournament is a fundraising event sponsored by the Community Hospital Foundation, Watervliet with proceeds from the event supporting projects and services at Lakeland Health, Watervliet. The event features 18 holes of golf, food, prizes, swag bag and plenty of fun! The tournament is named after Gordon Knutson, who was both an enthusiastic supporter of the Hospital Foundation and an avid golfer. This event is a tribute to both of his interests.

Outreach programs and community education initiatives raise awareness of the impact of grief in the lives of both children and adults. Peer support groups at Lory's Place as well as 30 local schools are made possible from fundraising activities such as this. In 2017 this event raised more than $146,000. Bluff of South Beach - Dan/Mary Nulty home

Hospice at Home holds its annual Wine & Beer Tasting event each summer on the majestic grounds of Dan and Mary Nulty's home on the bluff of South Beach in South Haven. With the generosity of many local wineries and breweries, fine wines and specialty beers are available to taste. Enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres, live music and a silent art auction and raffle too. $77,000 was raised at the 2017 event. Click here for more information.

Great food, great friends, great cause - and a great way to support the Hanson Hospice Center at this culinary cook off. It's a cook off with VIP's from the community paired with well-known master Chefs from some of the best restaurants in our area as they whip up dishes to whet the appetites of the host Judges.

Along with the fast-paced cooking competition, enjoy food, drinks, and bid on auction items. In 2017 over 200 guests participated by voting for their favorite celebrity chef which raised $160,000. Click here to register.
