Community Bone & Joint

Community Bone and Joint offers two board-certified orthopedic surgeons, a doctor of podiatric medicine, a certified physician assistant, and a nurse practitioner who diagnose and treat conditions of the bones, joints and muscles.

Whether you’re experiencing pain in your elbows, wrists, knees, shoulders, hips, feet or ankles, we can diagnose and treat your joint condition. Our team of professionals has years of experience and are exceptionally skilled in a range of general and specialized orthopedic medicine.

If surgery is part of your treatment plan, your procedure may be performed in our office or at Lakeland Hospital, Watervliet Joint Replacement Unit. In some cases, our patients can go home to recover without an overnight stay. Whenever possible, we use arthroscopic surgery and other minimally invasive surgical techniques to promote rapid healing.

Our patients are usually referred to us by their family doctor for care. However, a doctor’s referral isn’t necessary to request an appointment. For your first appointment, please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled visit to allow time for any
necessary paperwork.

You will need to bring the following items with you:
• Insurance cards including Medicare or Medicaid
• Any prior X-rays for the condition for which you are being seen
• Completed medical history forms sent to you by our office

If you cannot keep an appointment, please call us at (269) 463-3600 at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule. This allows us to schedule another patient for this time and helps us serve our patients more efficiently.

Fees and Insurance
Office visit fees are based on the type of treatment and level of care provided to you. Please feel free to ask our office staff about fees for a particular treatment. Our billing staff is happy to discuss fees and payment arrangements with you, including monthly payments for large bills. Please have your account number handy for quick reference if you call with any questions. Our billing specialists can be reached at (269) 463-2277.

We accept most insurance and health plans, including Medicare. You will be asked to pay any co-payments at the time of your appointment. If you need assistance with insurance forms, please call (269) 463-3111 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and ask to speak with a billing specialist.
