A Fun and Active Group Environment
The Lakeland Health Sensory Camp provides an opportunity for children who have a diagnosis of autism, sensory processing disorder, or traumatic brain injuries to practice physical, cognitive, and social skills in a fun and active group environment. Kids who are a part of the program attend weekly one-hour sessions presented in a consistent routine to include:
- Sensory motor exercises
- Balance and coordination
- Obstacle course activity
- Socialization opportunity
- Gross motor tasks
- Structured stations with emphasis on transitions
2017 Dates: June 19, 26 and July 10, 17, 24, 31
Ages 4-7: Mondays, 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Ages 8-12: Mondays, 3:30 to 4:45 p.m.
Where: Power in Motion Gymnastics & Fitness 3889 S. M-139, St. Joseph
Cost: $90 per camper, due by the first day of camp. Please make checks payable to Lakeland Hospital
