Pine Ridge is a state-licensed, skilled-nursing and long-term care facility. We offer regular nursing services, social and rehabilitative programs, and residential care for individuals who can no longer live independently at home.
24-Hour Skilled-Nursing Care
Pine Ridge provides daily nursing and rehabilitative care that can be performed only by or under the supervision of licensed professionals. Examples include complex wound dressings, rehabilitation, tube feedings, and physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Medicare will pay for Skilled-Nursing Care under the following conditions:
- The patient is Medicare eligible and the facility is Medicare certified
- The patient was hospitalized for at least 3 consecutive days and admitted to a skilled-nursing facility within 30 days of hospital discharge
- A physician certified the patient needs skilled-nursing care
- The patient requires skilled-nursing/rehabilitative services on a daily basis
- Skilled rehabilitation services are provided 5 days a week
Those in our care benefit from the engaging and frequent activities we provide. Individual and group activities are aimed at helping the psychosocial, mental, and physical needs of our residents. Special events include holiday and themed parties, dances, musical entertainment, and excursions to community attractions and events.
Certified Wound Care
Very few facilities can offer our level of expertise in wound care. We have a certified wound-care nurse on-site who treats patients who have incurred wounds from surgical intervention, trauma, infection, or unrelieved pressure.
Our services help meet the medical and non-medical needs of individuals with chronic illnesses or disabilities who cannot care for themselves for long periods. This includes assisting with normal daily tasks like dressing and bathing.
Medical Nutrition Therapy
Through individualized medical nutrition therapy, residents receive the optimal nutritional guidance to best meet their needs. Pine Ridges' registered dietitian can assist residents with dietary concerns related to congestive heart failure, the inability to swallow due to stroke or dementia, kidney failure, malnutrition or weight loss, tube feeding, and wound healing, among others.
Occupational therapy helps residents regain independence through performing daily work and leisure activities such as eating, dressing, and bathing.
The goal of physical therapy is to increase the strength and flexibility of your joints and muscles.
Many families take joy in providing care to their loved ones so that they can remain at home, but the physical, emotional, and financial consequences can be overwhelming without some support. We can help by providing respite care, which allows your loved one to stay temporarily at our home while you take a break.
We help residents to bridge the gap between the hospital and home following surgery, a fall, or other reasons. Rehabilitation often includes physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Short-term rehabilitation at Pine Ridge includes:
- State-of-the-art rehabilitation & therapy areas
- Home-like kitchen & laundry to simulate real-world tasks
We help those recovering from:
- Orthopedic surgery, amputations, fractures & sprains
- Cardiac surgery
- Head & spinal cord injury
- Other conditions
Our therapists address issues or limitations with cognitive and physical communication skills so an individual improves or restores the ability to interact with others.
