Youth Mental Health First Aid

Designed for adults who regularly interact with adolescents, this free eight-hour training teaches participants how to assist youth who are experiencing a mental health crisis until appropriate help is received or the crisis is resolved.

Participants will learn about adolescent development, the signs and symptoms of a variety of mental illnesses and substance abuse disorders, and a 5-step action plan to help youth who are in crisis.

Participants who attend and successfully complete the two four-hour sessions will receive a training manual and certification.
