Why did you choose Lakeland's Family Medicine Program:
I chose Lakeland because I immediately connected with the faculty and residents.  Residency is a time of tremendous growth, but also significant stress.  I knew that my family and I would be supported here through this process.  Lakeland is also a place where you can train in a community setting, but still be within a larger system with exposure to a variety of demographics and conditions.  Lastly, my wife and I knew we wanted to live in West Michigan, and Berrien County felt like the right fit.

Everyone in the program seemed happy to be here, and smiles are never hard to find. And after my shift was over, spending the remaining sunlight hours on the beach or at one of the many local breweries certainly didn't hurt!
