Two Area Hospitals Awarded for High Performance in Revenue Cycle

(ST. JOSEPH) – Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph and Lakeland Hospital, Niles were recently named recipients of the 2016 MAP Award for High Performance in Revenue Cycle, sponsored by the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). Created by and for healthcare leaders, HFMA’s MAP initiative sets the standard developing a patient-centered approach to revenue cycle, also known as the entire life of a patient account from creation to payment.

As a national award winner, Lakeland has met industry-standard revenue cycle benchmarks and implemented the best practices embodied in HFMA’s Healthcare Dollars & Sense^® initiatives that center on price transparency, patient financial communications, and medical account resolution.
