Roles and Opportunities

Spectrum Health Lakeland Medical Center

  • EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
    Assist staff in stocking rooms, making beds and rounding with patients. Must be able to push occupied wheelchairs.
  • ENDOSCOPY
    Make beds, discharge patients, assist staff patients and their families.
  • GENERAL STORES
    Assist staff with labeling and stocking supplies.
  • GIFT SHOP CLERK
    Provide friendly customer service by assisting customers with gift selection, deliver flowers and fill helium balloons as needed.
  • INFORMATION DESK GREETER
    Greet patients and visitors as they enter the hospital. Provide directions and/or transport patients to various departments within the hospital. Provide room numbers to visitors and print name badges.
  • KNITTERS
    Knit chemotherapy hats or lap blankets from the comfort of your own home.
  • PATIENT CARE PARTNER
    Stock supplies, help staff and round with patients.
  • SURGERY DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT
    Assist staff, patients and their families in the surgery area in addition to cleaning beds.
  • SURGERY WAITING ROOM
    Assist patients and guests arriving for surgery services.

Lakeland Center for Outpatient Services

  • GIFT SHOP CLERK
    Provide friendly customer service by assisting customers with gift selection.
  • INFORMATION DESK GREETER
    Greet, escort, direct and transport patients who need assistance at the Health Park.
  • RADIOLOGY
    Greet patients, provide directions and take them to the dressing area.

Marie Yeager Cancer Center

  • INFUSION CLINIC
    Greet patients and visitors as they enter the infusion clinic. Offer magazines, books and refreshments to patients. Stock nourishment areas and fill blanket warmers Encourage patients to take part in crafts, puzzles, etc.

Pine Ridge Rehabilitation & Nursing Center

  • ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT
    Provide extra hands to help residents with various activities such as bingo crafts, and other activities. Help transport patients and provide a caring listening ear.
  • COMMUNITY OUTINGS
    Chaperone and assists elderly residents for various community outings.
  • CLERICAL
    Greet visitors, answer phone and provide other assistance as needed.
