Financial Considerations

Billing and Insurance

Financial ConsiderationsMedicare and patient’s supplemental secondary insurance plan (if applicable) will cover most services provided during inpatient rehabilitation admission as long as they meet the admission and continued stay criteria. If there is something not covered, it will be discussed with the patient in advance, so they can make choices. If patients have other types of insurance, benefits will be verified before admission. If there are limitations to coverage, a Lakeland Hospital Watervliet representative will discuss these with the patient, as well as alternative resources to help meet their needs.

Assistance with Financial Responsibility

The rehabilitation unit’s care manager/social worker and program director, in conjunction with our business office will be able to assist patients and their family with alternative resources should they need assistance.
