Neurological Rehabilitation

What is neurological rehabilitation?

Neurological rehabilitation involves the rehabilitation of patients who have been affected by dysfunction of the brain and/or spinal cord (i.e., cognition, movement, muscle strength, skills, balance, sensation).

Our Team of Experts

Our team of professionals will work closely with you and your family to set and achieve your rehabilitation goals. A case manager is also on site to assist with insurance and community-based issues.

We offer speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy services to treat a wide variety of neurological disorders, including, but not limited to:

Physical Therapy

Our physical therapy team focuses on improving your strength, movement, balance, and safety with daily tasks. We use a variety of hands-on techniques, equipment, and modalities to improve your mobility.

Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapists focus on promoting independence in daily activities. This is accomplished by re-education of the upper extremities, vision re-education, functional mobility training, and community re-entry.

Speech-Language Therapy

Our speech-language pathologists focus on improving speech, communication, memory, and problem-solving skills to assist the patient in functioning in the most effective manner in everyday life. In addition, to heighten the patient’s safety when eating, we focus on retraining the muscles for feeding and swallowing or teach compensatory strategies to work within limitations.

What Happens When I See My Therapist?

On your first visit, a thorough evaluation will be completed, and your therapist will then work with you and your family to establish goals. Your therapist will use the best treatment techniques and activities to achieve these goals.
