Resume Writing Tips
Lakeland Health only accepts online applications. While we understand applying for a position can be time consuming, you do have the option to upload your resume for review which is highly recommended. While the application portion should be completely filled out, below are things to keep in mind when preparing your resume:
- Organize in logical fashion (most recent work history should be listed first)
- Dates are important (be specific)
- Be as clear and concise as possible (describe your experiences with concrete words)
- Font should be easy to read (avoid using all CAPS)
- Show results! Lakeland looks for applicants who make changes and are able to show results!
Cover Letter Writing Tips
A cover letter is not required when applying for Lakeland opportunities however it is a good way to introduce yourself and provide language that would not ordinarily be used in your resume. The cover letter is an excellent way to reveal your personality, convey enthusiasm, and offer what you will bring to Lakeland. Things to keep in mind when preparing your cover letter:
- Direct and to-the-point
- Tailor to the position you are applying
- Highlight key achievements from prior positions
- Grammatically correct
- Explain why you want to work at Lakeland in the position you are applying for
