Lakeland Hospital, Watervliet Receives Level IV Trauma Designation

We are pleased to announce that Lakeland Hospital, Watervliet has received verification and designation as a Level IV trauma facility from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). The designation is for a total of three years, expiring on June 1, 2020.
According to www.michigan.gov, designation is given by the MDHHS to trauma facilities that have been verified by either the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma or by the State of Michigan. On August 14 and 15, Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph will conduct their trauma designation survey. Lakeland Hospital, Niles will conduct their survey later this year as well.
