Spectrum Health, Rehabilitation Hospital Announce Collaboration
Nov 2, 2018
For years, Spectrum Health has worked closely with clinicians at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital to coordinate care for patients. This long-standing relationship became more formal through a Forum for Hospital Collaboration.
“Both Spectrum Health and Mary Free Bed provide rehabilitation services that achieve outstanding results. This agreement will focus on areas where we can improve upon our already solid relationship,” said Tina Freese Decker, CEO, Spectrum Health.
Together, Spectrum Health and Mary Free Bed will focus on coordinated pediatric research and tracking results of patients from birth to age 17 who receive care at both hospitals. The process will also be refined to coordinate the intensive rehabilitation services that patients receive at both Spectrum Health and Mary Free Bed. Research suggests the sooner patients begin vigorous rehabilitation, the better their outcomes. The Forum will enable us to collaborate even better than we do today for the benefit of patients and their recovery.
“I am committed to the success of this agreement and excited about the improvements in patient care we will achieve together,” said Freese Decker.
