Annual Cook-off Heats Up with Generous Donations
Oct 11, 2018 Share

A Taste Sensation Culinary Cook-off raised more than $161,000 at the annual Caring Circle event, now in its fourth year. The proceeds will support over 640 days of benevolent hospice care at the Merlin and Carolyn Hanson Hospice Center.

More than 250 guests enjoyed food and beverages, an exciting selection of live auction items, and a live cooking competition by teams of local celebrity and VIP chefs.

Earning the highest score from all three judges, Chef Abel Martinez of the Mason Jar Café took home the Best Chef Award 2018. With the largest combined overall score, the champions of A Taste Sensation 2018 were Todd Dockerty, COO and Owner, Dockerty Health Care Services, and Chef Abel Martinez of the Mason Jar Café.

All proceeds from the event will help provide exceptional care for those nearing the end of life and support for their families, regardless of ability to pay.
