Help Children “Spring Into Reading” through Book Drive
Feb 25, 2019 Share

From Friday, March 1 to Thursday, March 21, United Way of Southwest Michigan will hold a book drive in partnership with local organizations. The drive seeks to collect 5,000 new and gently used books for children from kindergarten to twelfth grade in Berrien and Cass counties. The books will be distributed through home visiting programs in low-income communities, food pantries, and more.

To participate, you can drop off books at one of the following Lakeland locations. Look for a labeled collection box in the lobby of each site listed below:

  • Center for Outpatient Services, St. Joseph
  • Lakeland at Meadowbrook
  • Lakeland Hospital Niles
  • Lakeland Hospital Watervliet
  • Lakeland Medical Center

Please make sure any donated books are age appropriate and of interest to children. Books with a focus on diversity are greatly encouraged.
