Patient Financial Advocates Are Here to Help
May 21, 2018

You can’t always plan for medical expenses, but if the unexpected happens, our patient financial advocates are here to help. They can assist in explaining the financial options of care, so that you can focus on what’s really important—getting better.

Our patient financial advocates can guide you through these items:
• Answer questions about your billing statement
• Help with financial assistance applications
• Complete Health Exchange/Medicaid applications
• Provide estimates for future services
• Set up low-interest payment plans

“Our advocates are dedicated to the patient experience and focused on the financial care plan for our patients,” said Jenna Howard, Manager, Admitting & Registration. “Their primary responsibility is to relieve the financial stress associated with health care. From pre-service to post-service, advocates are here to help through the full continuum of both outpatient and inpatient care.”

Anyone can make a face-to-face appointment with a financial advocate at a variety of Lakeland locations, including the practices.

For more information or to schedule a meeting, please call (844) 408-4103 Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Advocates can also be reached at FinancialAdvocate@lakelandhealth.org
