Simple Green Smoothie

Smoothies have quickly become a refreshing and tasty health trend among kids and adults of all ages. If made correctly, smoothies are packed with nutrient-dense ingredients that provide fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals your body needs for good nutrition – not to mention the convenience and ease of consumption. 

Ingredients: 
Recipe yields about 16 ounces; 300 calories on average

1 Cup Leafy Greens +

1 Cup Liquid Base +

1 1/2 Cups Ripe Fruit

 

Spinach

Kale

Swiss Chard

Power Green Mix

 

Coconut Water

Coconut Milk

Almond Milk

Cashew Milk

Soy Milk*

Plain Kefir*

1/2 Cup Plain Kefir + 1/2 Cup Other Liquid*

1/2 Cup Plain Yogurt + 1/2 Cup Other Liquid*

 

Banana

Berries

Mango

Peach

Pineapple

Orange

Grapes

Apple

Pear

Boost It!

Chia seeds
Flaxmeal
Natural Peanut Butter*
Almond Butter*
Avocado
Wheat Germ

*Provides good source of protein

Directions: 

  1. Blend leafy greens and liquid base together first

  2. Add fruits and blend again (use at least one frozen fruit to chill smoothie)
