Marcia Wiinamaki, PsyD
Dr. Wiinamaki is the Director of Christian Counseling and Psychological Services, and is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan. She has been practicing as a Therapist since 1988, and she received her Doctor of Psychology degree from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. Her experience as a therapist includes working with issues such as depression, anxiety, childhood sexual and physical abuse, premarital and marital therapy, family therapy, relationship problems, group psychotherapy, adjustment issues, psychiatric medications, divorce mediation and coaching services, and clinical supervision, as well as evaluations for surgical procedures.
Mary Andres, MA, LPC
Mary Andres is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received her Master’s Degree from Western Michigan University in Counseling-Psychology and is a Berrien County native. She has worked with individuals and families experiencing grief and loss for over a decade. Other areas of expertise are mood disorders, anxiety, depression and trauma. She works with many adolescent girls and women to increase self-esteem, healthy coping strategies, healthy boundaries with food and overall wellness.
Lynda Bredeweg, MSW
Lynda earned a Master’s in Social Work from Western Michigan University. She has experience working with people of various ages from diverse backgrounds. She enjoys supporting clients and helping them overcome issues of depression and anxiety as well as cope with difficult life transitions. She has experience working with individuals, couples and groups.
Nick Deitrich, MA, LLPC
Nick obtained his master's degree in counseling from Liberty University after receiving his bachelor's degree in psychology and education from Anderson University in 2008. Prior to becoming a counselor, Nick worked as a children's pastor, and in mental health case management. Nick has experience working with children, adolescents, and families on communication issues, problem-solving skills, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and teaching children and adolescents to make better choices in their lives.
Mary Frank, MA, LLP
Mary has been providing mental health services to children and adults in our community since 1991. She is a Limited License Psychologist who obtained her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Andrews University with concentrations in both children’s and adult’s mental health. Her expertise ranges from diagnosing and treating people with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar and ADHD to addressing their life changes, abuse issues and adoption concerns. She helps people improve their anger management, conflict resolution, and stress management skills. Mary is comfortable working with children, adolescents, adults and senior citizens and can provide individual, family, and marriage counseling.
Flori Mejeur, MSW, LMSW
Flori Mejeur is a Master’s Level Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received her MSW degree from Western Michigan University. She comes to us with a background in education and special education. Areas of counseling experience for Flori include working with children, adolescent girls, and adults with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, marital therapy, and adjustments to life situations, such
as divorce, moves and loss issues.
Kris Petlick, MA, LLP
Kris is a Limited Licensed Psychologist who received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. She enjoys working with clients of all ages, from childhood through retirement. Kris works with both individuals and with couples and families. She has experience with many issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, abortion, and autism spectrum disorders as well with marital and parenting issues.
Meredith Sheldon, MA, LLPC
Meredith is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor, who received her Master’s degree in Counseling from Spring Arbor University after working in the teaching profession for 30 years. Meredith specializes in helping clients work through major life changes like divorce, job loss, and other traumatic incidents. Her time as a teacher gave Meredith a unique perspective on how best to support parents and children with ADHD, self-esteem and other behavioral issues. Meredith also has experience helping victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence, and those with weight and self-esteem issues.
Rich Watson, MA, LLP, LPC
Rich is a Limited Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor. He received his Master’s in Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, and has been a therapist with Southwestern Medical Clinic since 1990. Prior to his career in counseling, Rich was employed for several years as a youth pastor. He specializes in working with attention deficit-hyperactive children and their parents, college students and adults, conduct disordered children, as well as a variety of other issues, including marital therapy, depression, anxiety, and addictions. He has received specialized training in trauma and critical incident stress management.
Bradford Wilson, MS, MA, TLLP
Brad is a Master’s level Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist who is currently a Clinical Counseling Doctoral Candidate at Trevecca Nazarene University. Brad earned his MS in Psychology and MA in Ministry from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to his career in counseling, Brad was a minister, missionary and judicial administrator. Brad works with adults experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as those seeking improvement with relationships, boundaries and self-esteem. Brad has specific experience guiding adults through issues relative to past abuse and the transitions of early adulthood, career, pre-marriage, marriage and dealing with the transitional challenges of senior life.
Kara Youngblood, MA, LLPC
Kara earned a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Andrews University. She enjoys working with children and helping young patients overcome issues related to anger, attachment, parent-child problems, and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. In addition, Kara has experience working with adolescent girls, adults, and therapy groups.
Edie Zars, MSW, LMSW
Edie is a Master’s Level Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her MSW degree from Andrews University. Edie brings a wealth of experience gained in a variety of industries prior to completing her MSW. She has direct clinical experience in the environments of school counseling, a local women’s shelter, a nursing home, and court-involved individuals in a social worker capacity. Edie enjoys working with clients of all ages, and has a special interest in marital therapy.
