Caring is the Reason for the Season

A perfect example of the “reason for the season” happened over the Christmas Holiday.  

A generous donor gave the South Haven, Hospice at Home office Meijer gift cards to use for those we serve – the timing was perfect.  One of our social workers had requested that we provide Christmas dinner for two individuals in hospice care that had no plans for the holiday.  Thanks to the generosity of this individual, the gift cards provided traditional feasts for people who would have gone without. Each person was able to enjoy a meal complete with ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole and a cranberry orange relish. Their volunteer coordinator Julie provided delicious dessert too!  

Supporters of Hospice at Home are the living, breathing spirit of Christmas, not just one day of the year, but all 365 of them!
