The fourth annual annual culinary cook-off event, A Taste Sensation, will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 beginning at 5:30 p.m at Lakehouse Restaurant in Stevensville, Michigan. 

Guests will enjoy food and beverages, bid on auction items, and vote for their favorite local celebrity and chef teams as they battle it out in a cooking competition to raise money for the Merlin and Carolyn Hanson Hospice Center. Funds from this event provide compassionate care for children and adults nearing the end of life, and support for their families.

The Veggie Van™, a mobile farmers market, served 13 counties throughout Michigan this year, ensuring that free fruits and vegetables were available to individuals who otherwise had limited access. The program, a joint effort of Corewell Health™ and the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids, launched in 2018 to combat food insecurity and will continue for a sixth consecutive year in spring 2024. Through their partnership, 46,466 free pieces of produce were distributed to Michigan families in 2023.
