The VESTRI study is a clinical research study being conducted worldwide in children ages 4 to 12 years old. The study is comparing a medication which is a combination of two different drugs (fluticasone propionate/salmeterol) to a medication that has only one drug (fluticasone propionate alone). Both the combination drug and fluticasone propionate alone are available by prescription outside of this clinical study.
It is important to note that this study will compare two different medications and your child’s asthma will continue to be treated.
There is NO placebo (sugar pill) and no blood draws (needles) in this clinical trial.
Your child will receive study medication, study-related medical care and study procedures at no cost. Health insurance is not needed to participate.
