Lakeland Health Foundation, Niles, Names New Officers
(NILES) – The Lakeland Health Foundations recently announced the appointment of new officers to two-year terms for its Board of Directors in Niles.
“Through their years of service on the Board of the Foundation, these individuals have shown their commitment to caring for our community said Bill Johnson, President of the Lakeland Health Foundations and Director of Development for Lakeland HealthCare. “Their leadership will be important as Lakeland continues to grow to serve the people of southwest Michigan.”
Doug Law, has taken on the new role of Chairman of the Lakeland Health Foundation, Niles. Law has served on the Foundation’s Board of Directors for six years, including two years as Vice-Chairman. Law is Superintendent of Niles Community Schools.
Rob Habicht, President and CEO of Michigan Gateway Community Foundation, is the Foundation’s new Vice-Chairman, and Tom Grant, Community President/Senior Lender for Chemical Bank in Niles, is serving as Secretary-Treasurer. Continuing to serve on the Executive Committee is Beth Dodge, Program Director of the Cass County Community Corrections Advisory Board and former Foundation Chair.
Over the years, more than $25 million has been raised by the Lakeland Health Foundations to help fund new and updated facilities, purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment, provide educational scholarships for hospital employees, and sponsor a wide array of community benefit and outreach programs. The Foundations receive gifts from individuals, businesses, institutions, and other foundations.
