Global Partnership Fundraising Event

Film Screening and Fundraiser Supporting Hospice Care Across Borders

Caring Circle joins the Global Partnership to provide hospice care training and support to countries in need. Members of our Caring Circle team discuss their recent journey to sister center, Our Lady's Hospice of Kenya. As part of this alliance, staff member exchanges promote cultural awareness and learning opportunities for both hospice facilities.

In collaboration with Global Partners in Care and Hospice Foundation, Caring Circle presents the documentary, Okuyamba, the Lugandan word meaning, "to help." This important film shows the common mission shared by a small band of palliative care and hospice nurses in East Africa.

They work tirelessly to ease the pain and suffering of AIDS and cancer patients, dying deep in the rural villages of Uganda. Eye opening, heartbreaking, and ultimately inspiring - Okuyamba asks the difficult question, "Who will care for those left for dead?"
