Simple Resources, Significant Impact

by Emily Craig

While attending the Global Missions Health Conference (GMHC) in Louisville, Kentucky, I spoke with a man from Christian Emergency Relief Teams International. He just so happened to be the leader of a medical mission trip to Peru. We spoke passionately about our work and our love of Christ and he insisted I come with the team to Peru.

Where God Called, We Went

by Andrew Slagor

In 2016, at the beginning of the summer, doing mission work wasn’t anywhere on my radar. That is until a friend serving in Kijabe, Kenya sent a message that the Rift Valley Academy (RVA) had a need in their student health clinic. After prayerfully considering the need and our ability to fill it, by mid-August I was on a plane to Africa with my wife and two children.

Sierra Leone's Unbroken Spirit

All it took was two weeks to create a lifetime of impact for the people of Mattru in Sierra Leone.  At the urging of third year Lakeland Health resident, Kimberly Stillman, DO, Southwestern Medical Clinic physician and board member, Ronald Baker, MD, rounded up a host of providers to bring much needed medical care to the West African Country.  Here's more on how the trip brought Dr. Baker back to his roots.

Mazatlan, Mexico - April 2016

Over four clinic days from April 17-20 our team of two doctors, one nurse practitioner, five nurses, and a paramedic were able to provide health care to approximately 100 men, women, and children in Mazatlán Mexico partnered with Back2Back Ministries. Your generous scholarship provided us the means to purchase a substantial amount of medications that made our clinics possible.
