Monitoring Clients on Psychiatric Medications
Due to the nature of psychiatric medications, dosing issues, and problematic side-effects, it is important to monitor such clients on a regular basis. However, costs and scheduling often do not permit physicians to perform optimum monitoring. While we do not prescribe these medications, we offer services to help clients monitor and manage them.
Our staff is educated about these medications and understands what patients are likely to encounter when taking them. Because we spend more time with clients than most healthcare providers, we often learn more about their experiences on these medications and are able to address their concerns. We share this information with our clients' healthcare providers to assist out clients' compliance in taking their medications appropriately.
