(SOUTH HAVEN) – Southwestern Medical Clinic Christian Counseling and Psychological Services recently established a new satellite location in South Haven, located at 05055 Blue Star Highway. Meredith Sgambelluri, MA, LLPC, is currently seeing patients at the facility on Mondays and Thursdays.

Sgambelluri earned a Master of Science in Counseling from Spring Arbor University. Her areas of interest include helping women who have been through sexual abuse, domestic violence, family issues, as well as clients struggling with weight and self-esteem issues. Sgambelluri also specializes in working with children with attention deficit disorders, self-esteem issues, and anxiety and depression related to these issues. Prior to her career in counseling she was a teacher for 30 years.

“My role as a counselor is to give my clients the tools they need to help them uncover who they are and overcome the obstacles they see in their path,” said Sgambelluri.

The practice helps individuals struggling with a wide range of emotional, psychological, and spiritual concerns. Providers are not affiliated with any specific denomination or church and are respectful of all spiritual perspectives. A total of 10 providers currently see patients throughout southwest Michigan, with office locations in Buchanan, Coloma, Niles, Stevensville, St. Joseph, and South Haven.
