Message from Our 2018 Board Chairs

Our new Chairs selflessly commit to two year terms, volunteering to lead our Foundation Boards. As they kick off the year, they took a moment to share what efforts they're most excited about in the future:

Lisa Kuehnle

As Foundation Board Chair for Lakeland Hospital Watervliet, I am most excited about our PARCOURSE project! We have had this PARCOURSE since 1981 and it needs a do-over! When complete, the new course will have two quarter mile asphalt loops with eight stations and three pieces of equipment at each station. Because Lakeland Hospital Watervliet has inpatient rehab for the entire Lakeland system and outpatient rehab, the PARCOURSE will be a great asset for us and our community. Our associates are very excited and have contributed many wonderful ideas to the project. We know how important it is to keep moving!

I have seen the great work our Niles Foundation Board has done over the last several years, and I look forward to carrying the torch on behalf of the community members who have come before me. I plan to bring my energy and excitement with hopes of drawing out the interests of our other board members and pushing forward with the Foundation's initiatives. As I have been involved in the community in and around Niles for 11 years, running my local Edward Jones office, I have been dedicated to the Foundation for much of that time. I believe the hospital is a great resource to have in our backyards.

Dana Wales

After seven years of working with the dedicated volunteers on the Board in support of the Lakeland Health Foundation, I am honored to have the opportunity to continue my service in the role of Board Chair. Access to quality health care is a cornerstone for growing a vibrant community where people come to live, work, and, eventually, retire. During my time as a son, husband, parent, brother, neighbor, and business owner in our beautiful corner of southwest Michigan, I’ve witnessed the steady growth of Lakeland and its positive impact on the care of my family, friends, and colleagues. I count it a blessing to have the opportunity to play an active role with the Foundation.
