Phase One Complete
Spectrum Health Lakeland is pleased to announce that the new Pavilion is now operational. Staff and contractors worked around the clock to accelerate the opening of the five-floor, 260,000-square-foot Lakeland Medical Center Pavilion at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the donors who have already made a gift to help make the medical Pavilion a reality for our community.
The new Pavilion includes state-of-the-art surgical suites and imaging centers, an Intensive Care Unit, Heart Center, a Critical Care Unit, a Short Stay Unit, Pulmonary, Presurgery Planning, education rooms, and a new entrance experience that will benefit our community now and for many years to come.
The Pavilion provides enhanced privacy and amenities including private corridors for patient transport, an abundance of natural lighting, open connecting spaces, a soothing color scheme, and the use of natural materials such as wood and stone to create a healing environment. We kicked off this project with a groundbreaking ceremony in October 2016, and will construct the facility in three phases, with an estimated completion date of late 2022.
We are focused on creating services that benchmark well across the nation, not just locally or regionally. Spectrum Health Lakeland has received many awards, certifications, accreditations, and recognitions that contribute to our top decile quality metrics.
