Thank you everyone that came out on Saturday, May 20 to support Lory's Place Run, Walk Rock, chaired for the 13th year by Christine Borah. This family event includes the 5K Run and Walk races, the Restful Rocking Chair Rock, and the Champions for Children Challenge.
The day started with clear weather and dry skies. Over 1210 participants, traveling from 10 states and 74 different cities, to run or walk in the 2017 Run, Walk, Rock fundraiser for Lory’s Place. This 5K event, presented by the McLoughlin Family Foundation, set its best record-to-date, raising more than $63,000 for the grief healing and education programs of Lory’s Place. In addition to all of the runners and walkers, more than 58 sponsors and 50 volunteers helped make this event a success.

The top three age finishers in each run and walk category received a Lory's Place credit card/ID pouch holding certificates from our generous sponsors at Biggby Coffee St. Joseph and Zoup!
The top overall male and female finishers in the run and walk category - four winners altogether - won $50 gift cards contributed by our friends at Taylor'd Running!
Upton Middle School won our Champions for Children Challenge and received a $500 check from Honor Credit Union and a pizza party for their participants sponsored by Pizza Hut!
